Storytime introduces children to early literacy skills as well as the library through a half hour of stories and songs. Parents also have the opportunity to learn new stories and songs with their children and meet other parents. The Toddler Storytimes planned for ages 2 and 3 have shorter stories and more songs and fingerplays. If your child is ready for longer stories then they are ready to move on to Preschool Storytimes offered to 3-5 year olds. Parents and caregivers can choose which storytime is appropriate for their 3-year-old.
